FLYING FELINE CLOCKS 63,000 MILES

LONDON -- A cat has clocked up 63,000 air miles after getting lost on a British Airways plane from Qatar to London for 10 days.

Ozzy's owners Jonathan Boyd and Katie Deacon were flying him back to the U.K. when he escaped from his plastic basket.

When staff opened the hold at Heathrow, Ozzy had gone and they assumed he disappeared during a stop in Bahrain.

Ozzy was spotted hiding in the hold 10 days later after making the 6,300-mile round trip every day.

Johnathan Boys said, "We had given up hope of ever seeing him again. He must have used up at least two of his nine lives. We are so relieved that he is safe and well."

A British Airways spokesman added, "If he was registered for BA Miles he would have earned enough to travel free to Rio de Janeiro and back plus a trip or two to Europe."
